It's Not Just Paper It's An Experience!
Monday, March 21, 2016

It's Monday and I couldn't be any happier! I know some of you are like what? Why? Well, Monday is the beginning of the work week for me and it signifies new beginnings and a fresh start.  Who wouldn't like to just hit the reset button each week.Anyway, I wanted to have a little "stationer chat" with you today.  Most days I'm wearing my planner hat, but today I wanted to talk to you guys about some of the chatter I've been hearing from different people. Some in the wedding industry and some who aren't.  What I get asked a lot is "why would anyone spend so much money on invitations? IT'S JUST PAPER!"  Well my answer to that is "It's NOT just paper! It's an experience!"  Here let me explain. It's Not Just Paper! It's An Experience | Stationer ChatPhoto Credit I'd like to think that you really cannot put a price tag on the happiest day or event of your life.  Creating a moment that two people and two families come together as one. However, before you can get to "I do" there are some steps that you have to take to get there.  One of those major steps, if you're planning to have witnesses is letting people know about your big day.  Of course there are several ways of communicating this news to your friends and family: word of mouth, emails, phone call, but my favorite and the most common and traditional way is sending a formal ...

Who Get's An Invite.... Help With Cutting The Guest List
Friday, March 18, 2016

We are seriously having some great weather in Atlanta this week! I've almost been tempted to sit out on the patio and make it my new work area.  Anyway, I've been hearing lots of chatter from different people about 'how do you decide who you should invite to the wedding.  While you might be a socialite and your budget might allow for it, it is my personal opinion that not everyone deserves a "ticket" to the hottest show in town, so to speak.  Your wedding day is a very special and hopefully once in a life-time experience.  It is the union of two souls, two families, etc.  I think that only the ones closest to you deserve to come and witness that.  Now if you have 300 family members and friends that are all close to you then by all means invite them all, but if you don't have a special relationship, connection, or memory with them then I'd say definitely pass on inviting them and save yourself the coin.  I mean the honeymoon is right after and who couldn't use a little extra cash flow.  Below is a chart that I found floating around the internet and thought it would be helpful in helping you breakdown your guest list!  Who Get's An Invite | Help With Cutting The Guest List   Photo Credit There are so many of these helpful little charts circulating around the internet! Maddison and Charles... Custom Wedding Invitation Suite
Thursday, March 17, 2016

Good afternoon guys! OMG, I was having a little trouble a few moments ago with the server and thought I wouldn't get a chance to post this blog.  That would have been a real bummer, because I wanted to share with you another gorgeous, handcrafted invitation suite I designed.   96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This suite features hues of purple, lime green, embellished with ribbon and glitter! Yes, glitter! I think glitter makes everything better.  If I could dip myself in it and not get the side-eye by everyone, especially my son I'd probably do it. Okay, enough of the silly chatter (it's the only thing keeping me sane right now) let's get right down to it.  Here's the invitation suite I want to share!    Maddison and Charles | Handcrafted Custom Invitation SuitePhoto Credit So, of course you guys know I want to know what you think! I hope you like this suite! It's certainly not your ordinary, traditional white on white.  I like to design with color, lots of bold, bright colors. I still like a classic look, but really wanted to do something a little different from the norm so I added the lime and the glitter paper, which I think  complements the shiny purple cardstock used as the base of the invitation.  I hope you guys stick around for more.  I have so much to share with you in the coming ...

Monday, November 02, 2015

Good morning peeps! It's a rainy day here in Atlanta so, you can only imagine how difficult it is to roll out of my warm comfy bed, but hey it has to be done! Someone has to take on the role of super mom, wife, and business owner (insert giggles here)!! Anyway let's just jump right on in to business, shall we! As a wedding planner here in Atlanta I've heard time and time again from brides that I've worked with and from other industry professionals that brides have been told by another family member or a friend who might have been an experienced bride before, "girl you don't need a wedding planner, I can help you.." Let me backpedal for a second. When I say experienced I don't mean a bride who has been recently married, I mean the one who has done it a few times.  I mean let's be real, nothing against an experienced bride, you all know you've been told this before.  Well I'm here to tell you that I think you do need a wedding planner and here's why.    The Value Of A Wedding Planner | 4 Reasons Why You Need One   Photo Credit For most of you reading this- this will be your first trip down the aisle, so CONGRATULATIONS!
